Coagulation, flocculation & clarification

Use these checks to compare equivalent supply specifications and narrow the candidate range for your actual process.

Product selection support

Discuss water conditions, process position and current products.

Specification & document coordination

Align specification basis, test methods and grade-specific documents.

Packaging & supply coordination

Review quantity, packaging and destination requirements.

Specifications & selection

Specifications and order requirements

Discuss your current grade or operating conditions. ENVO codes identify sales requirements; manufacturer grades, supply specifications, test methods and document versions are confirmed for the selected product.

Application-specific specificationSpecialty formulations

Availability confirmed. Share the intended use, preferred form and key requirements to confirm the grade and its technical documentation.

Application conditions & technical scope

Bio-based origin, biodegradability, toxicity and drinking-water authorization are different concepts. Claims require information for the specific material.

Appearance and supplied form

Confirm the form before comparing specifications.

Check the required form, then compare the composition, specifications and test conditions of the specific grade.

Application issues and troubleshooting

Biobased Flocculant — troubleshooting checks

Review symptoms, possible causes and verification steps together to prepare a more focused product-selection discussion.

01The same bio-based label gives different flocculation performance
Possible causes
Chitosan, starch and other bio-based materials may differ in composition, modification and molecular structure.
Investigation and resolution
Establish feedstock and finished formulation first; compare dissolution, charge and solid–liquid separation using the same water sample.
Checks required
Feedstock/modification information, TDS/SDS, biodegradability evidence, water sample and equipment.
Application limits
Bio-based is not one chemical identity, nor automatic evidence of non-toxicity, biodegradability certification or drinking-water authorization.
02Bio-based flocculant sludge volume or pH changes differ from expectations
Possible causes
Feedstock, charge characteristics, active-component basis or interaction with current chemicals may differ.
Investigation and resolution
With the same water and preparation conditions, record flocs, supernatant, pH and downstream dewatering for each candidate grade.
Checks required
Feedstock route, active-component basis, feedwater pH/alkalinity, current chemicals, preparation conditions and sludge sample.
Application limits
Do not compare bio-based finished products directly against inorganic-metal-salt assays; verify substitution and dosing location through trials.
03Biobased Flocculant appearance or preparation differs from the previous purchase
Possible causes
Powder, crystals, liquid, hydration state and formulation can all change appearance and content.
Investigation and resolution
Compare the grade label, SDS, actual-form photographs and dissolution tests to distinguish product changes from moisture or oxidation effects.
Checks required
Feedstock/composition; applicable pH; biodegradability information; residual impurities; trials; provide label, batch, storage time and preparation-water information.
Application limits
Color alone cannot establish purity or industrial grade; purchasing and acceptance require the actual grade, supply form and batch documents.

PURCHASING QUESTIONS

More questions, answered.

Biobased Flocculant: The same bio-based label gives different flocculation performance — what should I check?

Establish feedstock and finished formulation first; compare dissolution, charge and solid–liquid separation using the same water sample.

What should I compare when buying Biobased Flocculant?

Share the application, current product, purchase quantity and delivery location to help confirm a suitable specification. Key checks include: Raw material & composition; Suitable pH; Degradability data; Residual impurities; Trial performance. Compare the current grade document and the same test basis before choosing an alternative.

Which documents should accompany a Biobased Flocculant enquiry?

Request the current grade-specific TDS and product SDS, the COA for the actual supplied batch, and any intended-use documents required for the destination. Share the application, specification, quantity and delivery requirements. Document version, batch coverage and public-release scope are confirmed for the specific request.
