Packaging & supply coordination

Review quantity, packaging and destination requirements.

Specifications & selection

Specifications and order requirements

Discuss your current grade or operating conditions. ENVO codes identify sales requirements; manufacturer grades, supply specifications, test methods and document versions are confirmed for the selected product.

ENVO-PAM-A-PAnionic powder

Ionic degree, molecular weight, solids and residual monomer: confirm for the selected grade.

ENVO-PAM-C-PCationic powder

Ionic degree, molecular weight, solids and residual monomer: confirm for the selected grade.

ENVO-PAM-N-PNonionic powder

Viscosity, solids and residual monomer: confirm for the selected grade.

Application conditions & technical scope

Compare molecular weight, solids and residual monomer under consistent test conditions. Low-residual or specific-use claims require current grade-specific test evidence; confirm grade selection through operating conditions or sample trials.

Appearance and supplied form

Confirm the form before comparing specifications.

Check the required form, then compare the composition, specifications and test conditions of the specific grade.

Application issues and troubleshooting

Polyacrylamide — troubleshooting checks

Review symptoms, possible causes and verification steps together to prepare a more focused product-selection discussion.

01Fisheyes or gel lumps after dissolution
Possible causes
Inadequate powder dispersion, activation conditions unsuitable for the grade, or changes in preparation-water quality.
Investigation and resolution
Check dispersion and preparation procedures first, then compare PAM grades and activation behavior using the same water sample.
Checks required
Current grade, preparation-water quality, preparation equipment and time, fisheye photographs, and the condition of the remaining solution.
Application limits
Do not increase the dose solely because fisheyes appear, or apply another PAM product's generic preparation ratio.
02Flocs form, but treated water remains cloudy or dewatering is poor
Possible causes
Charge matching, shear, solids loading or equipment condition may differ from the original conditions.
Investigation and resolution
Run parallel trials with representative water/sludge samples, assessing clarification, drainage and floc resistance to shear separately.
Checks required
Sludge source, solids content, equipment, current product, trial method and the indicators to be improved.
Application limits
Higher molecular weight or cationic charge does not automatically mean a better fit.
03Supplier data are difficult to compare
Possible causes
Viscosity, molecular weight or residual monomer were measured on different bases.
Investigation and resolution
Align concentration, temperature, method and active-polymer basis before comparing grade documents.
Checks required
Current TDS, COA, test methods and end-use requirements such as low residual monomer.
Application limits
Low-residual claims require test results for the supplied grade and batch; literature for similar products is not a substitute.

PURCHASING QUESTIONS

More questions, answered.

Polyacrylamide: Fisheyes or gel lumps after dissolution — what should I check?

Check dispersion and preparation procedures first, then compare PAM grades and activation behavior using the same water sample.

What should I compare when buying Polyacrylamide?

Share the application, current product, purchase quantity and delivery location to help confirm a suitable specification. Key checks include: Ionic type and charge characteristics; viscosity and test concentration/temperature; residual monomer and test report; dissolution conditions; trial evaluation indicators. Compare the current grade document and the same test basis before choosing an alternative.

Which documents should accompany a Polyacrylamide enquiry?

Request the current grade-specific TDS and product SDS, the COA for the actual supplied batch, and any intended-use documents required for the destination. Share the application, specification, quantity and delivery requirements. Document version, batch coverage and public-release scope are confirmed for the specific request.
