A supplier promises compatibility with all membranes
Require evidence for the specific membrane model and conditions.

Membrane-specific biocide formulations · Membrane-specific products
A starting point for verifying formulated products against specific membrane models and treatment stages. DBNPA-based approaches and equipment-permitted peroxygen approaches may be compared, but a membrane-specific description cannot replace evidence from the membrane manufacturer.
Products for designated uses before membranes, within membranes or during shutdown treatment.
Bring an existing model or purchasing specification directly into the discussion.
Identity and physical form identify the product; specific concentration, grade, packaging and uses are governed by mutually confirmed formulated-product documents.
01 / Product and applications
A category page, not a fixed chemical; formulations with different actives have independent restrictions.
Specific dosage form, solvents, stabilizers and appearance must match the actual supplied product.
02 / Specification selection
| Items to confirm | Relevance to purchasing and use |
|---|---|
| Membrane brand/model and treatment stage | Polyamide and other membrane materials have different requirements. |
| Complete formulation and manufacturer instructions | Confirm solvents and impurities beyond the active ingredient. |
| Permeate handling and residual testing | Prevent operating performance from being achieved at the expense of permeate quality. |
Include parameters, test methods and acceptance checkpoints in purchasing requirements to compare specifications.
03 / Applications and limits
These are starting points for conditional verification. Specific product suitability still requires joint confirmation through product documents, operating conditions and destination requirements.
04 / Common challenges
Require evidence for the specific membrane model and conditions.
Map dosing locations and reactive components in the water.
Establish flushing, testing and release requirements in advance.
05 / Documents and evidence
These documents support technical categories and use limits, not ENVO certifications or customer cases. Verification date: 2026-10-26.
06 / Frequently asked questions
No. Complete-formulation documents matched to the membrane model are still required.
Soil removal and microbial killing require separate validation.
Some oxidative hygiene procedures depend on impurities and materials; verify according to membrane-manufacturer requirements.
Membrane compatibility must correspond to brand, model, material, contact conditions and complete formulation. A general claim cannot establish whether solvents, auxiliaries and operating modes are all validated.
An unchanged active-ingredient name does not mean the complete product is identical. Check product version, technical information on auxiliaries and solvents, and approved membrane and supporting-material scope, and create a traceable change evaluation.
Online control, offline cleaning and shutdown preservation are different tasks. When a customer reports membrane fouling, identify equipment status and the problem first, then select the corresponding product and validation method rather than expect one chemical to perform every function.
